Millhope

Millhope is Cologne-based producer and musician Thomas Mühlhoff. In the last two decades he has worked with artists such as Susanne Dobrusski (nominated for the Echo® with her band Dob Russkin), Jenny Thiele, Kai Otten, Geysir, and many others. After graduating in jazz and pop music, his current focus lies on composing producing music in the chillwave/downtempo/ambient genre.

The 80s-inspired sound, with nods to classic TV soundtracks like Knight Rider and Stranger Things, is given a unique twist through the use of modern production techniques and a slower tempo.

Speaking about the project, millhope says, "I wanted to create music that captured the eerie vibe of the pandemic, but also offered a sense of hope and optimism. This album is my way of processing the strange times we‘re living in, and I hope it resonates with people who are going through similar experiences".

With its masterful blend of styles and emotions, millhope‘s debut album is sure to make an impact on the electronic music scene and beyond.

Nyxotic returns to M.P.R Chill with the latest release titled 'Velocity'

Nyxotic is a new electro-acoustic project from Mythos producer, performer and writer Bob D’Eith, blending world fusion with modern downtempo and evocative, nocturnal moods.

For 30 years, Bob has been producer/composer/performer with the group Mythos. Mythos has created timeless, ethereal music fusing electronic beats with vocalese, piano, acoustic guitar, synths and sounds from around the world. 2026 marks the 30th Anniversary for the duo of Bob D’Eith (producer and piano) and Paul Schmidt (acoustic guitars). Mythos has won numerous awards, charted on Billboard magazine for years and recently surpassed 80 Million catalogue streams. Mythos released three albums (Mythos, Reality of a Dreamer and Eternity) with Higher Octave/ Virgin/EMI selling CDs in the six figures. Mythos went on to release five additional albums (Purity, Journey, Eros, XXV, and Redux) with Adagio Music Inc./The Orchard. Australian producer Margot, aka Mooglepuff lives with one foot in the past creating luscious melodic electronica infused with nostalgia.

The latest release, After 8 (EP), marks the first full release on Shades Of Sound Records UK, following Mooglepuff's contribution, 'Subtropic Vision', on last summer’s Various Artists compilation.

The title track 'After 8' is an exercise in jazzy deep house, with warm chords, subtle melodies, and a refined groove that wouldn’t feel out of place on a Larry Heard record. 'Entropy & Ecstasy' takes a different route built for peak-time moments, it surges with hypnotic rhythms and euphoric energy, balancing tension and release for guaranteed dance-floor bliss. Rounding off the release, 'Nightwalk' keeps the deep mood intact, layering morphing synths over broken beats and atmospheric keys.
