The latest release from Sound of Stillness entitled 'Moonlight Dreams' now playing on M.P.R Ambient.
“Sound of Stillness” features compositions by Anton Fauve, the London-based, in-house composer for Eden Films Ltd.
Anton wrote the incidental music and songs for a number of the company’s short films, for example “You Can Trust Me”,“No Defence” and recently “Baby Bee’s Boot”, the animated short film which won the London Independent Film Award in September, 2023. He wrote the score to “Front Stage and Back”, a wonderful documentary-feature about a New York actor who despite appearing in over 140 TV shows and films is a complete unknown, and his song “Brand New Day”, written for a new TV series, was released by Lucy Thomas in mid-2023 and has had nearly 900,000 listens on YouTube.
Alongside his commissioned work, Anton composes instrumental music and “Sound of Stillness” are those compositions that aim to calm stress, create well-being and peace of mind – an aid to sleep, meditation and a return to the beauty and healing of nature.
Sound of Stillness’ 4th EP, “Memories of Innocence”, has just been released and as the title suggests aims to capture the happiness and gentle nostalgia of our childhood; those magical moments where every day was an adventure and every experience was filled with wonder. It's a nostalgic journey that reminds us of the innocence and happiness that defines the early years of life, making it the perfect soundtrack for reliving cherished memories or simply embracing the joy of the present moment.
“Moonlight Dreams” is the fifth track on the EP.

"A while back, my wife Pallavi and I were late into the night around a campfire, and I left my field recorder running to capture some of our conversations. There was a very poignant part of what she said that deeply resonated with me — and those precious few seconds of dialogue became a feeling I latched onto for months. I stripped the 10 second piece of the audio file which was littered with fire crackles, and imported it into a song I’d been stuck on for years. A song in which I was never able to decide what was the correct way to move forward, feeling totally hopeless. All the usual self-doubt we engage in, that piece of dialogue became the soul of what made this song special to me, and I re-worked it to be completely centered around the idea of this weight we carry around with us, and how to break free from it. This song is about that, and the feeling of liberating yourself from it".
