New release from Lofi Ice Cream Chill (now known as Electronic Ice Cream) entitled 'Dulce De Leche' now playing on M.P.R Chill.

Released on 3rd May 2024, 'Dulce De Leche' is taken from the album 'Lofi Ice Cream Chill (Vol 1)'

Lofi Ice Cream Chill is a producer based in Knoxville, TN, USA, who creates downtempo electronica songs with cozy lofi elements and an ice cream theme.

“Ice cream is one of those cross-cultural delights that can conjure instant positivity. There is a lot of dark and murky imagery in lofi music culture, so I was inspired to experiment with connecting my lofi productions to the lighter, gentle imagery of ice cream to offer something a little different.”

Each of the three tracks on ‘Lofi Ice Cream Volume 1’ is named for an ice cream flavor and melodically builds on meditative beats, uplifting progressions, and immersive synths. Sonically, Lofi Ice Cream Chill’s music features classic lofi artifacts and found sounds, like vinyl record crackles, playground laughter, and nature foley.

“I love how calming and meditative downtempo electronica feels, and I’ve been in a great flow state working on this project. I’m so excited to finally start sharing these songs. I’ll be releasing five Lofi Ice Cream Chill volumes altogether, over the course of the summer. Vol 2 is coming out May 31, 2024.”

Naming each song for a flavor is also an invitation to combine an ice cream tasting with a music-listening experience, a nice low-key way to take a break from the world, relax, and enjoy tasty treats for multiple senses.

Released today! The New track entitled 'Canopy' by Michael Simms, is now playing on M.P.R Chill.

Creating timeless melodies that resonate with each stroke of the keyboard, Australian composer/producer, Michael Simms predominantly crafts piano-centric instrumental music accompanied by a contemporary rhythm section and embellished with orchestral and electronic artistry.

As a slight departure from his previous contemporary piano, Michael's new single "Canopy" (from the forthcoming "Surroundings EP") places the listener within a relaxing nature inspired musical soundscape which combines rich, flowing organic and synthesised elements with a downtempo, trip-hop rhythmic underlay.

"Canopy" is set to be released digitally on May 25th and will be available on Bandcamp along with all the main music streaming platforms.

Newly released track by Artificial Island entitled 'Lodestar' now playing on M.P.R Chill.

Artificial Island are a London-based duo who produce evocative electronic music, blending ambient, downtempo and post-rock influences. Their aim is to write soulful electronic music capturing mood and atmosphere but without neglecting the foreground of melody.

Their music is gently upbeat but quietly melancholic, mixing ethereal and pulsing electronics, organic loops, deep almost dub-like bass with shimmering, reversing synths.

“Music is always an act of communication; capturing something felt in all its complexity to be shared across time and space. And it is always refracting, casting different lights, different shadows, but ultimately reminding us that we are connected and not isolated. We hope our music succeeds in some way in that act of connection and resonance”.

'Farmers Return' by EBlo is now playing on M.P.R Ambient.

The track entitled 'Farmers Eye' by EBlo is now playing on M.P.R Ambient.

Inspired by the film Blade Runner 2049, Farmers Eye was originally composed as one long 11 minute track. It was later decided to split the track into two parts, the second part becoming a seperate piece entitled 'Farmers Return'. Keep tuned to M.P.R as 'Farmers Return' is coming to the airwaves soon.

EBlo is an english musician based in Sweden creating ambient and textured soundscapes. Throwing out the rule book and creating music that covers a wide range of genres from ambient electronic to stirring classical.

Heavily inspired by his love for storytelling through film, tv and game soundtracks he creates both sonically and visually. This can be seen fully when he performs a live visual audio show in which he plays his music to his own visuals that he creates.

'Vanishing' - the new calming track from Cedarstone, released on April 26th, 2024.

Transatlantic duo Cedarstone's new track Vanishing is a dreamy instrumental piece designed to take you to a calm place. A piano plays a simple but emotive melody while ambient layers wash over you in the background: perfect for relaxing, working, or walking in nature.

Fans of Olafur Arnalds, Nils Frahm, Federico Albanese, Niklas Paschburg, Goldmund, or Two Lanes will recognise the influence of contemporary classical and electronic musicians in Cedarstone's work: old-school composition techniques and theory meet modern production elements to create something new and beautiful.

Cedarstone is UK-based Chris Durston and US-based Reed Reimer. If they don't get distracted by other creative projects (they're currently hard at work on a horror role-playing game with a full soundtrack and tie-in novel), they hope to have their first full album out in 2024.

Track entitled 'Cascade' by Simon Chazal, now playing on M.P.R Chill.

Simius Anima/Simon Chazal is a young French artist who discovered from an early age the pleasure of playing music. He began playing the guitar at the age of 11 and gradually expanded his range of instruments. Later, he discovered MAO and saw a way to create a harmonious between his instruments and electronic music. A style emerges quite quickly, an Ambient music offering a moment of respite soft and melancholic on aerial and swaying rhythms. Authentic and true to himself and his vision of music, he creates a self-taught musical production that reflects and satisfies him: Ambient and instrumental music that is both intense and natural.

His second album, "Cycle", retraces a path strewn with difficulties. Through 7 tracks, he first expresses a certain melancholy, particularly with the song "Cascade", a soft, dreamy sound that hypnotically carries us along with it. Next, the artist reveals more of his qualities with increasingly catchy rhythms building to a crescendo of power. Concluding with strength and character, he brings us to an end filled with determination and hope in a world of achievement and serenity.
