"Time Immemorial," the second single from Rena Jones & KiloWatts' album "Caesura," is a dynamic exploration of organic and electronic soundscapes, evolving through various moods across a 7-minute sonic journey. The new release by Belle Chen entitled 'And It Rains (Sinemis Meditative Rework)' is now playing on M.P.R Ambient.

The original tune ‘And It Rains’ was inspired by the sound of raindrops on the forest canopy. Sinemis has taken key layers from the original track and created a beautifully luring and mysterious space for the listeners to fall into.

About Sinemis

Sinemis is the new solo project of Circassian-Turkish producer Sine Buyuka, who gently combines the ancestral Sufi music of her homeland with sophisticated techno-inflected ambient.

Sine Buyuka worked as a culture and arts journalist and hosted a radio show in her hometown Istanbul before moving to London in 2012. She has an MA in Culture, Media and Creative Industries from Kings College London and a master’s in composition in Electronic Music from Guildhall. She currently runs the experimental/electronic label Injazero Records, hosts a monthly radio show on sound art station Resonance Extra and is a professor at Guildhall at the electronic music department.

She has performed at venues like Somerset House, Iklectik Art Lab and St Matthias Church, festivals like Sonar Istanbul and onstage with musicians such as James Heather, Specimens, Midori Hirano, Laila Sakini and Chantal Michelle…

About Belle Chen

With a distinctive combination of piano melodies and evocative synths, pianist-composer Belle Chen's soundworld straddles acoustic and electronic realms. Having experimented with found sound in an extensive crowd-sourced project during the pandemic, and created classical dedications – such as Lullaby for Edward, a tribute to Edward Elgar – Chen's new album Ravel In The Forest is a compelling collection of original music with subtle references to woodland adventures and French impressionism. 

The 2023 recording – Chen's debut release on the Platoon label – sees the composer develop her love for immersive audio, invoking striking images and stirring the imagination through her playful pieces.

Born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Chen grew up in Australia and New Zealand before moving to the UK. She's just as influenced by travel and people as by her classical training, and her music spans multiple genres. In fact, it's difficult to pin-point Chen's style – surely the sign of an interesting artist – which adds a pinch of exciting, biting electronica to the lush, sometimes minimalist melodies, of post-classical pianism. 

Belle Chen performs across the globe, with highlights including the Royal Albert Hall’s Steinway Series, Milano Piano City Midnight Main Stage, Her Majesty’s Theatre Adelaide, Kulturhuset Najaden Concert Hall and the National Theatre of Korea. Chen was the first Australian artist to officially showcase at Classical:NEXT, where she performed in 2018.

Emerging artist 4partment, the ambient music project of Italian musician Mauro Corbia, announce the release of his new album, "Carillon Reverie." The album, scheduled to debut on September 26th, 2024, promises to take listeners on an introspective journey through soothing soundscapes and evocative melodies.

"Carillon Reverie" is a concept album that tells the story of a little girl who heals the pain of her village's inhabitants with a flower and the melody from a carillon. When asked by an old man how she accomplishes this, she responds, "You remember who you really are only through pain. After that, pain is no longer necessary." This narrative unfolds throughout the album’s compositions, each track delicately crafted to evoke emotions and reflection.

4partment, born in 2023, has quickly established itself in the ambient music scene under the creative direction of Mauro Corbia, based in Berlin, Germany. Earlier in 2024, 4partment signed a contract with the renowned record label Traumschallplatten for the release of the single "Sacred Bells." However, "Carillon Reverie" will be promoted independently, a testament to Mauro's commitment to artistic freedom and creative expression. The music of 4partment has already gained traction on several prominent Spotify playlists for relaxation and meditation, amassing around 30,000 streams in just a few months since its debut.

It was a windy and slightly cool morning in May when Jeweled Lotus and Jonathan Forney began to jam around on Native Flutes and Handpan. Slowly a crowd gathered, folks laying in the grass vibing and cloud gazing. It had to be written into a sonic experience. Weeks later a studio session was arranged in the “Lotus Den.” Remembrance of a butterflies landing on the tip of a flute set the inspiration for this moving piece.

Jeweled Lotus is a healer, cultural facilitator,multi-instrumentalist and composer/DJ bridging the ancient and modern. His music and vibration connects people to the land spirit via sacred communication of dance; providing healing, humility, connection, transcendence, and bliss. Offering meditative and movement-oriented sound journeys blending elements of his Native American Style Flute playing and spiritual dance music. Being the resident DJ and founder of Ecstatic Dance Southern Maryland, Jeweled Lotus is adept at providing high-vibrational music that brings in the energies of ecstatic and spiritual movement.

"I'm a musician, born in Colombia, and residing in the United States, specifically Colorado. What I create is an attempted expression of my love for soothing melody, beautiful instrumentals, and solid rhythms, whether simple or complex. I try to pull inspiration from many genres with which I grew up, ranging from Heavy Metal, to 80's-themed, to even Salsa. My track "Delirium" was the first retro-inspired Synthwave song I ever created, and the first to be fully produced, mixed, and mastered. It is influenced by artists like 'WICE' and 'Miami Nights 1984'. And I couldn't be prouder.
