John Campbell, a Los Angeles-based composer and modular synth artist, releases Sunjuneone, an immersive longform drone that threads warm low-end pressure through sun-baked atmospheres and shifting tonal beds. Recording them in a one-take performance using hardware synths like the Make Noise Strega, 0-Coast, and 0-CTRL, Campbell draws on years of experience in film scoring and sound design to build lush, emotionally rich sonic textures.

Sunjuneone begins with tonal stillness, slowly layering granular motion and harmonic drift. The track eventually tilts into brightness, resolving with a sense of weightless calm - equal parts melancholy and light. With no percussion and no melodic hook, it creates emotional movement through pure tone and texture.

“Within the Heartbeat of Stars”, the new single by Mirai No Hagaki, alias Davide Perico, is out now as a self‑release. The track, taken from the upcoming album 'Atomus Centum Soles Ardentes Occultat', due out this fall, marks a significant milestone: it has been added to the prestigious official Apple Music playlist “Pure Ambient”, a notable achievement for an independent artist.

The Sound

Entirely built around piano and string orchestra, the single defines a new style of ambient music: “intricate textures of strings created by intertwining minimal parts of individual instruments, combined with emotional and pure piano melodies.” The intention is music that breathes, meditates, and accompanies the listener on an emotional and contemplative journey.

The Artist: Davide Perico

Davide Perico is a composer, sound designer, and audio engineer based near Milan, active in the world of film and video game soundtracks. In the Mirai No Hagaki project—which he himself describes as “a delicate balance between pain and beauty” — he explores time, space and the soul, also using the Dolby Atmos format. His work spans from electronic to orchestral music and his portfolio includes soundtracks for games like Zerospace, Darkrise, The Repair House and various feature films with directors from around the world, along with awards such as “Best Original Score” at the Florence Film Awards 2020.

A Meditative Project

Perico holds the Mirai No Hagaki project especially dear, as he considers ambient music “the most powerful form of meditation and self-care.” For him, composing is an act of inner care and sharing, and “Within the Heartbeat of Stars” is a luminous testament to that vision.

Hazy Haiku is the lo-fi alter ego of Alessandro Amato (aka Harda Hatta), a composer and sound producer with years of experience in video game soundtracks and ambient music. With this project, he explores a more intimate and emotional side of music - focusing on lo-fi beats that speak to solitude, nostalgia, and stillness.

Hanetration's early releases were made in London and married dense sound collages with industrial rhythms and drifting ambient drones. He has only recently begun playing low-key live shows.

With his latest track “Slow-Fi Blue”, Tony Sieber has now given it a voice in the form of music. “Slow-Fi Blue” captures the magic of the twilight hour - that peaceful time between day and night, when the most wonderful shades of blue can be seen.

Tony Sieber

Tony Sieber is a Swiss music producer, composer and guitar player. He spent many years as a rock guitarist. His love for spherical music gave birth to his new style of guitar sounds and synthetic elements. He released a total of twelve albums and collaborated with numerous well-known national and international musicians for his own projects, as a studio musician, sound engineer or producer.

His compositions have been used in films, television programs and live road shows in Switzerland and abroad. With a personal reorientation, a longer creative break of seven years followed. A new phase of life reawakened the irrepressible joy and love for music and challenged the unconventional composer anew.

He masterfully combines his guitar with synthetic elements to create atmospheric and transporting pieces.
