On July 10, 2026 Van Horton and YSL808 released their first collaboration on the single ‘touch me’.

Two of North Carolina’s most sought after EDM Producers, Van Horton lends his vintage synthesizers and lead guitar to YSL808’s trap beats and pin point production. The song ‘touch me’ was written by Van Horton and Steaphen Lindsey. It contains a sample from Van Horton’s ‘future’ from his ‘The Light EP’. Van Horton and YSL808 perform regularly across North Carolina, including Raleigh and Charlotte.

Lebanese artist and composer Serge Volant announces the release of his debut album, “Everyday is all there is”, arriving on August 7.The album itself is rooted in experimental, ambient and cinematic electronic composition, shaped by field recordings and modular synthesizers.

Beirut remains a central reference point, with Serge incorporating audio recordings from across the city. Rawness, density, and quiet melancholy emerge as a result. The record echoes a melancholy that Serge closely associates with Beirut, capturing the tension between nostalgia for the city's past and a connection to its present. Rather than romanticizing the hardships the country continues to endure, the album finds beauty and meaning in everyday life.

Other parts of the album draw from the emotions and experiences of solo travel, exploring new places and, in turn, discovering new aspects of oneself. These moments are captured through field recordings collected along the way, from the birdsong surrounding the CAMP residency in Aulus-les-Bains in the French Pyrenees to the sounds of Corazón, the music and creative hub in La Plata, Argentina. Through these sonic landscapes, the album documents both physical journeys and personal discovery.

Fine feathers sets the tone for the album. Its title, drawn from the phrase “fine feathers don’t make fine animals,” reflects a tension between appearance and essence. I too, will pray for your god is inspired by the unexpected connections formed with strangers along the road. Through these brief but intense encounters, different belief systems become less abstract and more deeply human. The piece reflects the lasting impression of carrying a fragment of someone else's worldview with you, a quiet gesture of respect, empathy, and shared humanity that remains long after the encounter itself has passed.

In its final moments, the album turns inward. A recorded phone recording made after attending a night out with Beirut appears unpolished, left intentionally intact, closing the work with an openness that resists resolution.

The process of releasing the album has not been without difficulties. In a moment marked by ongoing instability and war, Serge has repeatedly reconsidered the timing of the release, questioning the role of artistic output in the face of crisis. Ultimately, the decision to proceed stems from a belief that creation remains a form of resistance and self expression rather than distraction. The album does not attempt to resolve the regional context, but to exist within it, holding space for memory, emotion, and shared experience.

Just like a flower blooms into beauty, it’s about changing as a person and becoming more of who you are really meant to be. Reaching your potential, being more truthfully yourself and finding your power. Blossoming in a way, shedding the old, the broken and insecure, and growing into a more mature and refined self.

"As an artist, most of my music is a way for me to try to move past depression, the never ending feeling of not being enough and feeling like everything I do is meaningless and empty. I’ve always wanted to be creative and create, to take the pain and hardship of everyday life and make something meaningful. I’ve seen this as my purpose long before I started making music, I would write and work on ideas for stories, long and short, characters and settings hoping one day to write and direct movies. When I started making music, I discovered that instead of going weeks and months without progress, I found the energy and the joy of sitting with Ableton and experimenting every single day, sometimes for up to 10 hours at a time. Over the weeks and months since starting I have come a long way and learned a lot, and a lot of what I’ve learned has culminated in this track, Blossom. If I want this track to say or do anything, it’s to inspire people to live authentically and trust the process, despite how confusing it may be at times. If you’re at a bad place in life, know that it gets better and that you have a purpose and a part to play in life".
