"Ad Astra" is a second single/EP by Logica Abstracta after a recently released full-length album, "Headspace Station." The title track opens both the EP and the bigger album and is the project at its finest: a short, deep ambient piece that immediately fills the space with its own kind of aural light. Themes of exploration and space exploration, in particular, often pop up on Logica Abstracta's records. This time, its vibe pays tribute to the sci-fi of the old days: the naivety and the epic scales, romanticism, and unkillable hope for tomorrow's discoveries.
When Vadim started Logica Abstracta, he already had several projects, numerous albums, and live appearances, so he had enough experience and equipment to immediately deliver a record of exceptional quality. "Alive Forms" was a strong debut that gained a fair amount of listeners without any marketing or promotion, purely because of the quality of its deep but light, bright but not flashy, mostly short ambient suites. Four albums and two singles later, the project still delivers something new within its own stylistic boundaries without losing its identity and personal vibes, tones, and colours. Unlike some other projects Vadim operates, Logica Abstracta is never too irritating, never too experimental, never too dark or sad - it always is 'a comfortable music', good for sonic tripping or simply as a background music that can surround with sound and disconnect the listener from the world, thus helping to focus or relax.
