Tony Sieber

Tony Sieber is a Swiss music producer, composer and guitar player. He spent many years as a rock guitarist. His love for spherical music gave birth to his new style of guitar sounds and synthetic elements. He released a total of twelve albums and collaborated with numerous well-known national and international musicians for his own projects, as a studio musician, sound engineer or producer.

His compositions have been used in films, television programs and live road shows in Switzerland and abroad. With a personal reorientation, a longer creative break of seven years followed. A new phase of life reawakened the irrepressible joy and love for music and challenged the unconventional composer anew.

We're too late...

After detecting radio signals from a nearby exoplanet that confirms the presence of an intelligent life form, our Impulse Class scout ship has arrived after a long journey only to find the remnants of a sophisticated extraterrestrial race.

Strange alien artifacts litter the surface of the desolate planet, suggesting that an industrial complex of some kind once stood here.

A heavily mined out moon drifts slowly through the sky. Scattered across the landscape, small metallic containers containing foreign fragments of exotic minerals are clustered about.

Perhaps the answer to the alien race's demise is inscribed on the symbolic spheres that hover gently above the sandy terrain.

Unless we can decode the symbols, we'll never know who they were or how their story ends.

Canadian ambient / electronic music producer and soundscape artist, Cosmic Cadence's music and soundtracks have been frequently featured in planetarium shows in Canada and the US. Heavily influenced by the pioneers of electronic music, Cosmic Cadence continues to produce electronic music along the lines of several genres including ambient, electronica, psybient and drone. Experimenting with sound design, most tracks include field recordings and environmental sounds.

On the Grounds of Indecency is the new album by Copenhagen-based Portuguese artist Swoop and Cross (Ruben do Vale). Merging neoclassical, ambient and drone textures, Ruben crafts intimate and emotional soundscapes blending piano, field recordings, virtual instruments, electronics and effects. 

The album is inspired by Kazuo Ishiguro’s Never Let Me Go – a book that unsettled Ruben to his core and led him to revisit, reframe, and reimagine his own past. The record unfolds as a deeply personal meditation on memory and fragility, moving from delicate piano performances to dense, layered soundscapes, soaked in reverb and dirtied by tape grit and warble. 

The pieces evolve patiently, exploring the fragile lines between beauty and unease, consonance and dissonance, inviting the listener to reflect and linger.

Artist bio

Swoop and Cross is the alias of Copenhagen-based Portuguese musician Ruben do Vale, whose work merges physical instruments, VSTs, and field recordings into intimate, slow-burning compositions that drift between ambient, drone, and neoclassical.

A lifelong musician, Ruben began studying guitar and music theory at the age of nine, later expanding his palette to other instruments. He debuted as Swoop and Cross in 2015, releasing Stories of Disintegration (Time Released Sound, 2018) and Les Fauves (Piano and Coffee Records, 2022).

His new album, On the Grounds of Indecency (Perceptual Tapes), is inspired by Kazuo Ishiguro’s Never Let Me Go—a book that unsettled him to his core and led him to revisit, reframe, and reimagine his own past. Literature has long been central to his practice, with the works of Virginia Woolf, László Krasznahorkai, Gonçalo M. Tavares, and others serving as creative lighthouses.

Trained in medicine and neuroscience, Ruben is driven by a deep curiosity to understand himself and others—an impulse that runs through both his music and his scientific work.
