Something new is brewing in Iceland. The details are simple yet familiar, warm, intimate and a bit fuzzy around the edges. Let mellow piano chords invite you into this new landscape, and feel the strings wash over you like a cool mountain breeze. The synths lie waiting, pulsing beneath the surface, ready to erupt into fuzzy rhythms wrapped in minimal beats that keep the music grounded, yet still on the edge of drifting into the air.
This project is called Arctic Rust. The first EP, Rust One, captures the transformation of human artifacts as colors shift and structures wither, leaving behind something both beautiful and discomforting.
But it’s futile to explain too much. This one’s meant to be felt, not described.
