With 'OH… The Ocean' the brand-new single for the summer 2026 — the lounge project Dan Van Daan is back from his sabbatical. Summer is really kicking off, and Dan Van Daan is captivated by the ocean that surrounds his home, Dyade Island.
This vocal track marks Dan Van Daan’s comeback with his signature quality after more than a yearlong hiatus. Once again, the result is a genuine, meditative downtempo track.
An album is not planned for this year; Dan Van Daan is still gathering new ideas and energy for his next releases.
The current single is available in the usual stores and streaming platforms. The track is also released on Apple Music as a Dolby Atmos mix in 3D audio. 3D audio releases are standard practice for Dan Van Daan.
About Dan Van Daan
Dan Van Daan is an art figure: It all started with a computer game: Beach Life. The soundtrack is outstanding; especially Pacific Memories by Fenomenon. This piece is based on only two chords. But it has strong harmonies, brilliant / jazzy guitar solos and strong melodies.
The idea came up to adopt this concept and to create an own version of it. Because of the only two chord based harmonic structure, we call this style Dyade (means duality). So the debut album is called Dyade. Dan Van Daan and his work is a tribute to Fenomenon and the other acts of sophisticated lounge music.
As home and residence Dan Van Daan serves the island: Dyade Island. Of course, a prototype of the Caribbean, Balearic or Canary holiday island and purely fictional. The island can be explored on the websites of Dan Van Daan.
