Doug Loch closes out 2025 in a reflective mood with the release of “Saltram 92”, now playing on M.P.R Chill.

Release date: Dec 12, 2025
Doug Loch continues to showcase his versatile and original style, presenting his seventh original release, “Saltram 92”, which finds him in a reflective mood to close out his first full year of releasing music. The release rounds out a busy 2025 for Doug Loch, coming in the aftermath of hosting a People Like Us room at the Claptone take over of Home The Venue in Sydney, and is his sixth release of 2025 and his seventh overall.
With his releases to date featured on Electronic Music Australia, Data Transmission, Ibiza Sonica, Ibiza Radio One, Acid Stag and others, “Saltram 92” has a lush nostalgic feel, pitched somewhere between deep house and downtempo, starting and ending with solo piano and incorporating beautiful haunting melodies in-between, accompanied by soft but slightly husky vocal. The track is anchored by a dark and moody piano part, which is how it was originally composed, in London over 20 years ago (and known as Dark Piano for most of the period since). With drums, bass and melodic elements added, the main mix forges its own identity while retaining its piano based core, which is also featured in isolation in the accompanying Plain Piano Mix.
Doug Loch commented: “I wrote this track in London, over 20 years ago, and shortly after I moved back from my first period of living in Sydney. I learned music production during that period and also learnt to DJ, so it was a really formative time, including as it was when I returned to music as an adult, after lessons and being active in music throughout school. I lived in West London, at 92 Saltram Crescent W9, so when I needed to update the track name, Saltram 92 was perfect, including as it fits the reflective and slightly nostalgic vibe of the track.”
Saltram 92 is available on all major streaming platforms.
