"I am excited to share my new work with you. This is a departure from my previous styles as I attempt to use more live instruments to compliment the darker ambient techno beats. This song is important to me as it was inspired by an abstract painting of the Montreal-based artist Alek Bélanger who painted his work “Monsoon Sunrise” based on my descriptions of feelings I have when overwhelmed by powerful scenes in nature - stormy seas, winds traversing mountain passes, cloud formations over open plains, monsoon sunrises…. This song is the direct response to his painting, evoking the feelings I had when viewing his work based on this context. Thank you for listening."
