Latest track from Mental Minority entitled 'Lost'.

Latest track from Mental Minority entitled 'Lost' now featuring on MPR Chill.

Producer Mental Minority is what Skyrim is to the PS3 world. Noteworthy, respected and continually revered, Bremen’s jewel in a synthesizer crown keeps shining alight in the darkness of the unworthy.. and the delusion of the untalented. Mental Minority makes it all seem real and extremely “Kraftwerk” & “Fear of Tigers” possible.”

'Lost' was released on January 13, 2023

“SUCCESSFUL FAILURE”, the latest album by Mike Hans STEFFL

“SUCCESSFUL FAILURE”, the latest album by Mike Hans STEFFL is now featuring on Moon Phase Radio.

Mike Hans STEFFL is a German photographer and DOP, but also a musician, doing electronic music since the 1970ies. Born in 1959 he was mainly influenced by artists of his youth, like Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream, J.M. Jarre and Vangelis. His main genre is Berlin School and Ambient music.

In order to capture every emotional moment of his playing, he decided to record only true LIVE situations in his studio in Munich, Germany. Since 2018 he often goes DAWless to avoid a computerized production. All of his instruments are real hardware, sometimes true analog oldtimer, but he also likes to combine this vintage gear with new digital synthesizers.

“SUCCESSFUL FAILURE” Music for the Voyage of Apollo 13

This concept album is my approach to show the emotional side of the perilous voyage of Apollo 13. We all know the story of this space trip that did not end in a deadly disaster, although the crew was sometimes closer to death than to success.

I try to make the listener feel what was behind the thorough and controlled behavior of the crew. The three astronauts had to encounter a variety of problems, worries, and fears. My music dives into these different situations and reflects the moments of hope and danger. Finally, the crew came back to earth alive, due to the unified efforts of a great team. The mission couldn’t be completed, but it turned out to be a “SUCCESSFUL FAILURE”.

Messages by Joerg Dankert

New album, 'Messages' by Joerg Dankert is now featuring on Moon Phase Radio.

Joerg Dankert is a composer, musician, recording artist and fan of Berlin School music since the early seventies. In 2021, he published his first album at bandcamp.

The latest album by Joerg Dankert, released on November 26th 2022, was inspired by Shortwave listening as a child and also in the present times.

"The story of this album is both old and up to date, because with the Ukraine war on my doorstep I rediscovered an old hobby, listening to shortwave. There you can always hear radio, Morse and data traffic from various military and their services. Number transmitters that send out coded messages in different languages. There used to be countless of them and some with interesting identifiers, such as melodies and tone sequences. Yes, they have become fewer, but they are still there.

I heard some of the news broadcast during the Ukraine war, recorded it and incorporated it into the music. Some melodies and sounds are the result of inspiration from listening.

The songs were created between March and November 2022, whereby the shortwave recordings were either recorded live by me and my shortwave radio or via the digital shortwave receiver of the University of Twente in the Netherlands, which is accessible to everyone on the Internet".

'Azaran Forecast' by The Polymusicon

The latest album 'Azaran Forecast' by The Polymusicon is now featuring on Moon Phase Radio.

The Polymusicon is the music project of Graeme Nattress. "Starting in 2016, I wanted to create music that used sequences to flow between melody and ambient texture. My first album Evalake was released in November 2019, and almost immediately I began work on this, Azaran Forecast, my 2nd album."

Graeme says of his latest album:

"I took inspiration from the clearly differentiated seasons we enjoy in Southern Ontario: The winter can be long, but it always brings varied weather and the sounds of nature take on a new dimension in the bitterly cold air. The dynamics of this icy season are reflected in Diamond Dust.

Antheia came from enjoying the crab apple trees in our garden that flower for only a few days every spring. Even before you are standing beneath the trees now bursting with flowers, all you can hear is the steady hum of the bees.

The days of summer are long and bright, but with a good glass of whisky in hand, time flows rapidly. Theros stretches time in the same way.

On Manitoulin Island (largest lake island in the world) there is a lake, and on that lake is an island... Recursive Island takes this concept and my holiday trips there into musical form."

New EP, '+28º 1′ 34′′ (Pollux) by The Arnoux Experience

New EP, '+28º 1′ 34′′ (Pollux) by The Arnoux Experience, now featuring on Moon Phase Radio.

The Arnoux Experience

Arnoux, is a character seen for the first time on February 1, 2014 in a theatre in the capital of Ecuador.

Harold Granda identifies with him, adopts his name and his personality, which would be reflected in his first works as a solo musician, these themes being super dark, mostly improvisations, writings he saw in dreams, which spoke of introspective themes that they never saw the light of day except to a very small audience (his few friends). Over time Arnoux continued to release instrumental music, because he did not need words to express what he felt, only sounds, the genres he explored are rock, psychedelia, krautrock and ambient.

In 2016, he entered the world of creating music for theatre and short films, this being the path he would follow until today. His first EP called "Ser" is made up of 3 instrumental songs, “Alfarero” “Corroer” and “Celestial”.
In that same year, he created the music for the short film "Red Boots", an entry in the Adobe Creative contest.

In 2018, he ventures into the musicalization of a fantasy work called "Lluvia de Sueños", the same work that has travelled to different parts of Ecuador.

He is currently launching his second EP called “+28º 1′ 34′′ (Pollux)”, an album with the sole purpose of reaching a state of pure relaxation capable of lulling the viewer to sleep and exploring the dark world of dreams, trying thus their deepest traumas to heal them slightly.

'Origins Unknown' from Terminus Void

The latest album 'Origins Unknown' from Terminus Void is now featuring on Moon Phase Radio.

1983 would be a monumental moment when J. Ronald Smith, an American electronic music Composer based in Seattle, Washington, was introduced to the nationally syndicated radio program, Hearts of Space, created by Stephen Hill. Smith was awe inspired by the music composers such as Micheal Stearns, Brian Eno, Steve Roach and Evangelos Papathanassiou of Vangellis.

Hill’s early broadcasts of these electronic music pioneers instilled a passion for Smith and opened a window of possibilities for him in this new experimental genre of music. In 2021, Smith founded Terminus Void to share this passion that has been nearly 40 years in the making.

In November of the same year, Smith released Terminus Void’s debut album, Interstellar, and can be heard on all the major music streaming platforms around the world. Additionally, the album is available in compact disk format on online and select local retailers.

On April 1, 2022, Smith came full circle when Interstellar was featured on the Hearts of Space broadcast, transmission No. 1314 entitled “Stellar Quest” hosted by creator, Stephen Hill.
