Debut Track "VRN" by angus angus Out Now via Orbital Chaos Records
London-based electronic artist angus angus has released his debut single “VRN”, now available exclusively on Bandcamp as part of the compilation Producer Circle: Demo Sessions Vol. 1 from Orbital Chaos Records. The track is a bass-heavy, emotionally immersive blend of UK garage, dubstep and expressive FM synthesis - built for introspective listening and smoke-filled dance floors alike.
Written during a period of emotional dislocation and movement, “VRN” explores themes of detachment, momentum and neurodivergent perception. Drawing inspiration from early 2000s UK bass music and the expressive tonal qualities of saxophone (notably Kamasi Washington), the track layers deep sub textures with a growling, voice-like lead to create a sound that is both cerebral and physical.
“VRN was the first track I ever brought to the Producer Circle,” says angus angus. “It’s a feedback-led community of producers, DJs and artists founded by Orbital Chaos label head Jessie Mac. That moment - playing an unfinished track for the first time and seeing people nod their heads - made me realise I’d finally found a sound that resonated.”
Orbital Chaos is a newly launched independent label focused on bass-forward electronic music from queer and emerging artists. Producer Circle: Demo Sessions Vol. 1 showcases a range of producers connected through the Producer Circle - now celebrating its first anniversary.
“VRN” is currently available for streaming and download via Bandcamp: https://orbitalchaosrecords.bandcamp.com/track/vrn
Other streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Deezer, Tidal etc.) to follow in June.
