Release date: Oct 17, 2025

The Snowball Effect

The Snowball Effect is the ambient electronic project of John Beith, a composer, musician, and producer based in Devon, UK. Influenced by a wide range of genres and inspired by artists like William Orbit, The Cure and Tangerine Dream.

John Beith creates evocative, genre-fluid music that fuses deep digital sound design with the soul of organic composition. Defined by its hybrid nature—combining textural drones, cinematic synthesisers, and moving piano lines—his work is a vast soundscape for focus, dreaming, and reflection, often drawing influence from the natural world.

Amorphia

The word “Amorphia” means without defined shape or form and the washes of synthesisers coupled with sparse piano lines conveys this fluidity and shapelessness and producing an immersive quality that is a feature of The Snowball Effects music

"With this new release and previous tracks you can clearly see John Beith’s compositions are deeply reflective and beautifully transportive."
