Playing on M.P.R Chill is the first single released by Valemond entitled 'Amber'.

Release date: Oct 4, 2025
“Amber,” Valemond’s first single, is a guitar-driven piece blending jazz phrasing with warm texture and a subtle, steady beat. It was written to capture the calm glow of late afternoon light, a quiet moment to breathe as the sun sets.
Somewhat unusual to the genre, the lead guitar was recorded with a Fender Jaguar through an amp chain inspired by Mark Knopfler’s glassy tone, resulting in a sound that feels simultaneously modern and nostalgic. Subtle use of reverb adds additional depth without losing clarity, keeping a hint of traditional single-coil twang beneath the smooth surface.
Valemond
Valemond is a fresh musical venture based on the rugged coast outside of Bergen, Norway. It blends cinematic lo-fi and jazzhop into a sound that conveys warmth, melancholy and space at the same time. The tracks are generally carried by a clean lead guitar layered over tremolo textures, airy piano, and simple yet evocative beats.
Before launching valemond, the artist released a wide range of post-rock and ambient records, earning airplay and genre-specific album of the year nominations. This airy vibe also carries into valemond – now distilled into a more minimalist framework, where each phrase is given room to breathe.
With more tracks already in the pipeline, valemond will explore brass textures and rhythmic variations, expanding the palette while keeping the project’s signature warmth and spacious vibe.
